Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing before you crop a PDF here.

help

Does cropping permanently delete the trimmed content?

It sets each page's visible area (a standard PDF CropBox), the same non-destructive mechanism Adobe Acrobat's own crop tool uses — trimmed content won't display or print in any compliant PDF viewer, though it isn't rasterized away either.

help

Can I crop each page differently?

Yes — switch "Different per page" on in the Crop panel, then navigate to any page in the list on the left and adjust its box independently. "Apply this crop to all pages" copies whatever the current page is set to onto every other page in one click, if most of the document should match.

help

I'm cropping several files at once with different page sizes — how does that work?

Your margins are stored as real distances (mm/inches/points), not percentages, so they apply consistently across files — switching between file tabs shows the same margins measured against each one's own pages.

help

Does cropping reduce quality?

No — it only changes which part of the page is visible. The optional Compress step is separate and only runs if you turn it on, in either crop mode.

help

What's the largest PDF I can crop?

PDFs up to 1 GB are supported.
