Extract Images from PDF

JPEG photos (the most common embedded format by far) come out byte-for-byte identical to the original — never re-compressed. Simple uncompressed bitmap images are reconstructed into real PNGs. Scanned black-and-white fax-style images and JPEG2000 are detected and listed, but can't currently be extracted — we'd rather tell you that clearly than hand back a corrupted or wrongly-colored file.

Yes. Supported images are pulled directly from the PDF's own internal data with no decode/re-encode step, so there's no generation loss at all.

Yes, but only once each — an image reused across several pages is stored once inside the PDF itself, and the gallery shows every page it appears on rather than listing duplicates.

Yes — every image is selected by default, but you can uncheck any you don't want, or use "Select None" and pick individually.

Yes. Your file is used only to find and extract the images you download — it isn't stored afterward, and no one else can access it during the process.
