What's the difference between flipping and rotating?
Flipping mirrors the image, so text reads backwards and anything asymmetric swaps sides. Rotating turns it while keeping the original handedness. If your photo is sideways you want Rotate Image; if it's facing the wrong way you want a flip.

Does flipping reduce quality?
No. Mirroring only moves pixels — nothing is resampled or interpolated, so the result is pixel-for-pixel identical to the original, just reversed. Saving as JPG re-encodes it; choose PNG or WEBP to avoid that entirely.

Can I flip both ways at once?
Yes — turn both axes on. The result is the same as turning the image upside down, which is often the easiest way to think about it.
