Rotate Settings
RotatePositive turns clockwise. Use small values to straighten a crooked photo.
An angle that isn't a quarter turn exposes empty corners. Automatic keeps them transparent when the output format supports it, otherwise white.
Export Settings
Caps the output size. Works for JPG, WEBP, and PNG outputs.

Frequently asked questions
Everything worth knowing before you rotate an image here.
help
Can I rotate by something other than 90°?
Yes — the fine angle control accepts any value from -180° to 180°, in half-degree steps. That's what you want for straightening a crooked horizon, where a quarter turn would be far too much.
help
What are those empty corners after a free-angle rotation?
Turning a rectangle by anything other than a quarter turn leaves triangular gaps that were never part of the photo, and something has to fill them. Corner fill lets you pick: transparent, white, or black. If you'd rather have no gaps at all, rotate here and then trim the edges with Crop Image.
help
Does rotating reduce quality?
A quarter turn or a 180° turn is lossless — pixels are only moved, never resampled. A free angle has to resample, which is a small, unavoidable softening inherent to the operation. Saving as JPG re-encodes either way; choose PNG or WEBP if that matters.
help
Can I give each image in a batch a different rotation?
Yes. Each card has its own quick-turn buttons, and the "Apply to" control switches the panel between editing every image and editing only the ones you tick.
help
What happens to transparency?
It's preserved for PNG and WEBP outputs. JPG and BMP have no alpha channel, so transparent areas — including any corners exposed by a free angle — are flattened onto white rather than turning black.
help
What's the largest image I can rotate?
Images up to 1 GB each are supported.
