Terms of Service
By using TransConvert, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
1. What this service does
TransConvert lets you upload a file and convert it to another format. The core tool is free to use, and no account or sign-up is required for it. We also offer optional paid plans (with higher limits, priority processing, and API access) and a free account tier with saved presets and conversion history.
2. Accounts
Creating an account is optional. If you do, you're responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Eligibility
You need to be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live to create an account or buy a paid plan — commonly 18, though this varies. If you're using this service on behalf of an organization (a Team plan, for example), you're confirming you have the authority to agree to these terms for that organization.
4. Paid plans and billing
Paid plans are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record — they handle the transaction itself, including tax and receipts. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from your account, and you'll keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
If you're a consumer in the European Union or Turkey, distance-selling rules normally give you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital subscriptions, that right ends once we've started providing the service to you at your request — since your plan activates immediately on payment, starting to use it is treated as that request, consistent with the digital-content exception those rules allow (Directive 2011/83/EU Art. 16(m); Mesafeli Sözleşmeler Yönetmeliği Md. 15/ğ). If you're a consumer somewhere else with its own mandatory refund or cancellation protections for online purchases, this section doesn't take those away either. Outside any such window, refunds are considered case-by-case — contact us via the Contact page.
5. API access
If your plan includes API access, you agree to use it within the rate and file-size limits shown in your account and the API documentation, and not to share your API key with anyone outside your own organization. We may revoke a key that's used abusively.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this service to convert or process content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights, or that you don't have the right to use. You also agree not to abuse the service — for example, through excessive automated requests intended to overload it.
We may block access (including by IP address) or suspend an account for any use that violates these terms.
7. Your files
You retain full ownership of any file you upload and its converted result. We don't claim any rights to your content. See our Privacy Policy for exactly how your files are handled while a conversion is in progress — in short, they're processed and then deleted, not stored.
8. No warranty
This service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that conversions will always be error-free, available, or produce a specific level of quality, though we aim for all of those.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of this service, including from lost files, conversion errors, billing issues, or downtime.
10. Rights complaints
If you believe a file processed through this service infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact us via the Contact page with details, and we'll look into it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer based in the European Union, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your own country of residence still apply to you regardless of this choice, as required by law. If you're a consumer based somewhere else with its own mandatory consumer-protection rules, the same principle applies — this clause doesn't override those either. Any dispute not covered by a protection like that will be handled in the courts of Turkey.
12. Force majeure
We're not responsible for a delay or failure caused by something reasonably outside our control — for example, an outage at a hosting or payment provider, an internet or power disruption, or a natural disaster.
13. Severability
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies — the unenforceable part is treated as narrowed just enough to be valid, or removed if it can't be.
14. Entire agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about using this service, and replace any earlier agreement on the same subject.
15. Changes to the service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of this service at any time. We'll try to give notice for changes that affect paid plans specifically.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Please check back here for the current version.
